Telepylos
Telepylos was recounted in Homer's Odyssey as the land of the Laestrygonians or workers in stone.
One source has it located in modern day Bonifacio in southern Corsica [1] and Wikipedia has it as Mesapo? in Greece but i dont see any evidence to back these choices ip
Was it meant to be entirely supernatural like Hades afterall the Laestrygonians were giants. Telepylos means "with gates far asunder" [2]] so are we looking for a city with extra wide gates
The harbour, about which on both sides a sheer cliff runs continuously, and projecting headlands opposite to one another stretch out at the mouth, and the entrance is narrow, ..., and the ships were moored within the hollow harbour, for therein no wave ever swelled, great or small, but all about was a bright calm
For our purposes Ustica off the northern coast of Sicily will be used at the location
