This deserted island, which is also called Ares as it was thought a temple to the God was built here. The island was now only inhabited and defended by vicious birds. These birds landed in terror when Herakles was away the Stymphalian birds by using a bronze rattle during Herakles sixth labor. The Argonauts kill the birds and meet up with the shipwrecked Argos and continue their voyage.
